Alleluia For The Easter Man
By Grace Barney
Christ, we know what You're up to,
crossed Your heart and come to die.Holy over holy over holy
world over stone rolled over:
it's the Easter rise-up,
the paschal introit, He springing
out of the earth to bell us
with a Word, the heart's verb heard."Array surrection!" sang Mister Joyce.
Hurray for the array of mystery's history!
We study ethics as we want
marrowing of our moral brain and bone,
but life's unchasmed with a rolled stone
in Jerusalem, truth out of the earth
where once we sang that golden oldie
Hosanna: blessed is He that cometh
in the Name of the Lord,
where we played Palm, Palm,
and then pulled away.Come and get it! O taste and see
the Maker of the stars who walks our streets
singing, come to Emmaus with Me,
who walks our baptismal waters
singing, over earth's beginningholy over holy over holy
and Eden still the starting place,
original grace and then our dearness. We give thanks for Your nearness,
O Bread. O Yes OChrist, garden us with grace
to garland You with alleluia
for ever O Yes for ever sing
this simple word for Your immensity.
