Tenebrae

In the midst of Tenebrae I cried,
"You are Light,
Shine in this dreadful darkness!"
And the words came. . .
Not as echo but as reply,
"You are light,
Shine in this dreadful darkness."

Peg Hartsell Ranson is a graduate of Greensboro College, North Carolina. She has taken graduate work at Union Theological Seminary, New York, and has served as Director of Youth Work at the Myers Park United Methodist Church, Charlotte. At present, she is an elder at the Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte where she has also served as President of the Women of the Church.
