One For the Road
By Harry N. D. Fisher
Old Aristotle's notion
Determines life by motion.
His doctrine is that if it moves it lives.Paul's second Corinth letter
Puts matters somewhat better.
Th' Apostle writes that when one loves one gives.Since these thoughts aren't contrary,
Choice isn't necessary.
To give, move, live, love: keeps us from our graves. On, then, with celerity,
Charity, hilarity.
Return all gifts to God above, Who saves.
