The Faith of Christians
By Denis Baly and Royal W. Rhodes
Philadelphia, Fortress, 1984. 245 pp. $14.95.
This is a brief handbook for use in undergraduate courses and in thoughtful adult classes. The authors' goal is to enable students to examine the basic tenets of the Christian faith. What makes this book unique is that twenty students at Kenyon College were involved in the initial discussion. Their responses are included as footnotes and will be helpful to generate further discussion among readers.

The book is an invitation for involvement in the joy of the theological pilgrimage. The authors discuss seventeen basic theological concepts, ranging from traditional doctrines to pressing contemporary concerns. The material is informative and provocative. Some readers may feel that the authors are over-cautious in forming historical and doctrinal judgments. Nevertheless, this volume provides ample resources for adventurous classes in colleges and churches.
